Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter, "the Policy ") details the policies and procedures adopted by Dravida Munnetra Kazagham (hereinafter, "DMK ") on the collection, use, and disclosure of the User’s information and personal data while accessing the Website and the laws and rights applicable to the User.

By accessing the Website, the User agrees to accept and comply with the Policy. If the User does not agree or no longer agrees to accept and/or comply with any of the Policy, the User shall not use or stop using the Website immediately.

The Policy shall form part of the Terms and Conditions of Use of Services (hereinafter, "Terms of Use ") for all purposes, and the Policy and Terms of Use shall be henceforth read together.

1. Definitions

2. Collection of Personal Data

2.1. While visiting or accessing the Website, the User shall be requested to provide Personal Data of the User, which inter alia, include:

6. Retention of Personal Data

6.1. DMK shall retain the Personal Data for such period as may be necessary for the purposes elucidated in the Policy;

6.2. The Personal Data retained shall be used by DMK for fulfilling legal obligations, resolving disputes, internal analysis, and such other purposes set out in the Policy.

7. Transfer of Personal Data

7.1. The Personal Data collected from the Users are usually retained, stored, and processed at the headquarters of DMK. However, such information is transferable to any other place outside the city, town, district, or State of residence of the User;

7.2. Accessing the Website and Service and consenting to the Policy serves as an agreement on behalf of the User for such transfer;

7.3. DMK assures that reasonable measures shall be undertaken to ensure that the Personal Data are secured and are processed in accordance with the Policy.

8. Amending and Deleting Personal Data

8.1. The User has the right, at any time, to modify, update, amend, or delete the Personal Data provided by the User by managing his Account on the Website. DMK, when requested by the User, shall extend support, as may be reasonably possible, to access, correct, or delete the Personal Data provided;

8.2. The User understands that DMK shall retain such information that it is required by law to do so.

9. Security of Personal Data

9.1. DMK assures that the Personal Data of the User is important to it and shall undertake all reasonable measures to secure and protect such information against any loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, the User shall be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and can guarantee the complete security of information stored;

9.2. The User understands that to ensure the confidentiality of the Personal Data and other information, the User is required to keep the password confidential and not disclose it to anyone. The User is solely responsible in case of access to the Website by any person through the User’s password. The User is advised to forthwith inform DMK in case of misuse of the password.

10. Link to Third-Party Websites

10.1. The Website may contain links to third-party websites that are not controlled or operated by DMK. Such third-party websites are subject to their own Privacy Policy, and the Policy shall not be applicable;

10.2. The User is advised to learn about the Privacy Policy of such third-party websites and understands that DMK shall not be responsible for the content or privacy policies and practices of such third-party websites.

11. Amendments to the Policy

11.1. DMK has the right to amend the Policy at any time without notice. Such amendment will be posted on the Website. It shall be the responsibility of the User to review the Policy periodically;

11.2. Where a User continues to access the Website or avail the Services following the amended Policy coming into effect, it shall be construed as the User’s agreement with the amended Policy;

11.3. If a User does not agree to the amended Policy, such User is not authorized to use the Website or Services.
